We’ve compiled a list of the best bars in and around Seoul where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some good drinks and food.

We’ve compiled a list of the best bars in and around Seoul based on Google reviews. So, you know they are the real deal. These bars are great if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Some are underground, while others are on upper floors in buildings.

One is even Alice in Wonderland-themed. Another one is a legit Irish Pub. The staff in all these places are friendly and cooperative, and the bartenders know what they are doing and will gladly whip up custom creations as per your tastes.

So the next time you’re in Seoul, consider visiting some of these best bars in the city!

Blacklist

The cocktails, food, everything you can eat or drink here is delicious. The burgers are incredibly amazing in this bar in Seoul. The place is also pet-friendly and has a rooftop area with a great sunset view.

Down below, there is a busy intersection where you can watch the hustle and bustle of city life while you enjoy your favorite drinks. If you feel like being pampered, there are also a few leather-bound chairs and sofas indoors for that luxurious feel.

The atmosphere is chill and cozy overall, and the staff is friendly. The owner is a very good host, and you can spend a lot of time chatting away with him. It is a bit pricey here but is well worth the cost.

Robin’s Square

This is one of the best bars in the Hongdae region. It is a great place to escape to, as it is situated underground and away from the noise. They have a good stock of whiskey and rum.

The staff is attentive and friendly and will also personalize your drinks according to your taste. The drinks are creative enough, and the bartenders skilled enough to give you something at once familiar while deviating from your expectations.

The ambiance is calm and classy, with light jazz playing in the background.

Mikkeller Bar Seoul

Mikkeller Bar is a bit pricey, but they have a good selection of craft beers. As the name suggests, they have the entire range of Mikkeller available here. A nice selection of local Korean beer is also available.

Unlike many other bars in Seoul, the bartender knows English, so that’s a big plus.

The decor feels clean and fresh, with light and relaxing colors. The food options here are limited, but there are many good restaurants within walking distance.

Shenanigans

This is an Irish Pub and even looks and feels like a typical Irish Pub. They have darts and a large pool table which you can play for free.

The service is good – they will even make you a drink that’s not on the menu! What’s more, even the coffee here is good.

There is a designated smoking area outside, the owners are friendly, and the prices are reasonable as well. There is an outdoor seating area too.

Kompakt Record Bar

This place is operated by a group called 360 Sounds. Rappers and other musicians visit this place frequently. This is the place to be for music lovers. They pay as much attention to the mood and ambiance of the place as the drinks themselves.

They also have merchandise, like hoodies and beanies. The music here is different and played on vinyl. The owner is kind and welcoming – he’s also a DJ himself!

This bar is off the beaten path, small, cozy and welcoming. Definitely, a place you would want to check out.

Southside Parlor

Southside Parlor is pet-friendly and also has a smoking area. The customer service is quick and friendly, and they have Hookah and even an arcade game as well.

The ambiance and food in Texas-themed. The nachos and tacos served here are very good. The cocktails are very tasty, too, with several variations available! However, this place can get a little pricey.

It has an easy-going and gentle vibe. The area is pretty spacious and has lots of leather couches to relax on.

Living Room Seoul

The décor here is attractive, the staff is professional, and the drinks are fairly priced.

It is a small area but has a great ambiance with good music. It’s a good place to chill at with a group of friends. They have large Jenga blocks and some other party games to play with as well.

Bar Old-fashioned

This place doesn’t have any particular theme – it’s no-frills and simple to the core. It doesn’t even have a menu! Everything here is tailor-made to your taste. The bartender really knows his stuff, and he makes the drinks taste exactly as he describes they will taste.

It is on the 3rd floor, and the board may not be easy to find at first. There are only about 15 seats; it is that small. But that makes it perfect for a private evening with a few close friends.

HoneyHole

Here, they serve unique and delicious cocktail creations that change monthly. However, classic cocktails are always available upon request.

The place has a quiet vibe and isn’t the place if you’re looking for a party! The bartenders are friendly, accommodating and creative.

Alice

This bar in Seoul is Alice in Wonderland-themed – they even have rabbit-shaped glasses! The servers are attentive, and the drinks are quite creative.

The environment is good, the staff is friendly, and the cocktails are great. The bartenders all have records of winning competitions.

This place is really expensive, though. So, if you’re looking for an exclusive bar to spend some quality time in, it’s worth visiting. If you want to sit at the bar itself, you will need a reservation. It is one of the top 50 bars in Asia.
