Fall is definitely a beautiful season in South Korea, with gorgeous colors and lovely weather. Have you ever experienced the fall season in Seoul? You can enjoy all the nature-related activities like trekking and hiking in autumn. And if you aren’t too much into that, you can skip the hike and enjoy the picturesque fall foliage around Seoul.

You can enjoy the comforts of city life while appreciating the beauty of mother nature in the most brilliant hues. There are so many amazing places around Seoul, including Nami Island and Gyeongbokung Palace, where you can see the brilliance of nature. It’s the perfect time to go soul searching in and around Seoul while you observe the changing seasons and discover the best fall in South Korea!

5 Places and Activities to Enjoy Around Seoul During Autumn

Appreciate the Fall-tastic view of Seoul and N Seoul Tower

You can head over to the iconic Namsan Mountain, the highest point in the city, to catch the sight of warm-colored Ginko trees and maple trees. While you take a stroll on the walking trail, you can encounter lovely stops like Palgakjeong (octagon hall), cafes, and even Namsan Library.

You can also take the cable car to the N Seoul Tower on the top of the mountain. While you enjoy the cable car ride, you can delight in the gorgeous panoramic views of Seoul. You can see the rich fall colors ranging from plum to crimson accented with green and gold.

Enjoy the Amazing Scenery at Insa-dong

Insa-dong, the village built for aristocrats and officials in the Joseon Dynasty, is only a short walk away from the Bukchon Hanok Village. There are hundreds of galleries in the village where you can enjoy a blend of both traditional and modern art.

A visit to the Gyeongbokung Palace will feel like you’ve stepped inside a beautiful painting. Being the main palace of the Joseon era, the spectacular views of the palace during the fall season do not disappoint.

Pedal Along the Nami Island

Nami Island is famous for a lot of things like the filming location of “Winter Sonata”, the Korean drama. The island just looks magical, especially during fall, with its gorgeous colored trees lined on the pathway.

Explore Bukchon Hanok Village and Wear Hanbok

Although you can enjoy the traditional Korean housing in Bukchon Hanok Village during any season, there’s something to be said about the views with a sprinkling of yellows, oranges, and gold hues. You can revel in the ambiance of the traditional roof-tiled houses from the Joseon Dynasty.
