Gangjin Ziptrek (강진 짚트랙)
If you are an adventure seeker, the Gangjin Ziptrek is just what you need to try in Gaudo Island. It runs across 1.2 kilometers and while on it, you will feel like you’re soaring over the sea! With heart-pounding speeds and gorgeous views, Gangjin Ziptrek is one activity that you must do. It starts at a 25-meter high Celadon Tower in the centre of the island and is the longest one in Korea which is over a waterbody. The Ziptrek will take you straight down to the entrance of the suspension bridge.
Gaudo Suspension Bridge (가우도 출렁다리)
This suspension bridge connects Gaudo Island, the only inhabited island amongst the eight, to the mainland of Gangjin. The suspension bridges on both sides of island are a must visit places on Gaudo Island and are privy to hundreds of thousands tourists every year. Crossing the Gaudo Suspension Bridge is quite a dizzying yet exhilarating experience as you can see the changing colors of the sea because of waves. Jeodu Bridge (438m), connecting Gangjin Daegu or Mangho Bridge (716m), connecting Doammyeon are the footbridges that can be used to enter Gaudo Island. You can follow along the trail which will take you to the island coastline. As one of the must-do activities in Gaudo Island, you just need about one and a half hour to cover both bridges.
