As Seoul’s hidden gem, Seongsu-dong is all about hip things, happening places, and some amazing cafes. There’s a whole alley of warehouse-turned-cafes in the city that are worth visiting at least once in your trip. FAVOR Seoul is one such place that’s worthy of exploring and will take you to some exotic destinations!

Seongsu-dong has become an escape for tourists looking for some peace and quite away from the hubbub of city. As it is close to the Seoul Forest, it has a relaxing and calming vibe.

Amongst all the unique and amazing Instagram-worthy cafes in Seongsu-dong, FAVOR Seoul is one of the best cafe that you can visit.

FAVOR Seoul

As soon as you enter the unique cafe, you will feel like you’ve stepped into an exciting train ride. It is especially an excellent getaway option in times of pandemic when travel is restricted. Visitors can enjoy the feeling of travel while being in one place.

The screen behind the counter shows a moving image of an open plain. Although the city of Seoul is full of mountains, you can’t see the horizon usually. So, a view of horizon on the screen is a nice change!

Overall, the cafe has a pastel yellow color scheme with grey and white. There is overall great lighting in the cafe and you can take some amazing pictures for your Insta-feed!

The seating area isn’t large, there are only 4 to 5 tables. The seating arrangement in the neat rows will make you feel like you are on a train ride.

Best Time To Visit FAVOR Seoul

The best time to visit the unique cafe is on weekdays during the morning or early afternoon. If you end up here on weekends, it is unlikely that you’ll find a free table! It’s super-busy!

Menu Options

The menu looks like train tickets! It’s super cute and definitely unique in this theme. Two of their popular drinks include Cherry Ade and Latte. The cafe focusses on taste of their drinks along with their cute looks. Unlike many other cafes in Seoul, FAVOR Seoul does not compromise on the taste of its drinks.

Overall Cafe Theme and Design

The round windows with black border gives them a train-like vibe.

Along with these, there are multiple platforms within the cafe which serve different purposes. There’s a ‘Brewing Platform’ where they make coffee, ‘Roasting Platform’ for roasting coffee beans, and ‘Product Platform’ to get self-served water, napkin, and sanitizers.

How cool will it be if you were to ask your friend to grab some napkins from the Product Platform!

Well, the place may be really tiny as compared to some of the other cafes in Seoul, it certainly does not lack character. If you are planning a stop at the Seoul Foreast, make sure you drop by the unique FAVOR Seoul cafe in Seongsu-dong!
