Visit The King’s Affection filming locations in Korea to learn more about the beautiful places where the familiar scenes from the series were filmed.

The King’s Affection is a popular South Korean drama set in the Joseon dynasty. The plot revolves around a princess who is sent away in secret due to the twins’ dread and who takes her brother’s place after his death. The tale is fascinating, and the gorgeous imagery helps to drive it home.

The classic sageuk (Korean word for historical dramas), which features Park Eun Bin and Rowoon, has distinct characteristics that make it more interesting. Many K-drama fanatics may be wondering about the filming locations for the stunning historical sequences The King’s Affection. Here are some of filming locations so you can consider them as places to visit while in South Korea.

Yongin Daejanggeum Park

Yongin Dae Jang Geum Park is the primary palace landscape seen throughout the drama. This area has been used in numerous MBC historical series, including The Rebel, The King’s Doctor, Gu Family Book, Dong Yi and The Moon Embracing the Sun.

This park is one of tmain filming locations of The King’s Affection, a KBS drama as it fits well with the story.

To visit Daejanggeum Park, you need to appreciate the filming location. After that, you can go on a sightseeing tour of some replicas of historical buildings. Make sure your camera is fully charged because you will be taking many pictures.

The Yongin Daejanggeum Park is open all year. You must, however, be aware of the park’s hours of operation: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., KST (Summer Season), 9 a.m.-5 p.m., KST (Winter Season).

Daesandong HanJoo House

The Daesandong HanJoo House is located in Hangae Village, Seongju district, North Gyeongsang Province. The village’s architecture reflects traditional feng shui principles, which are well-known across the province of North Gyeongsang.

When visiting the Hangae Village, you may sense the atmosphere of bygone days. You’ll get a sense of serenity if you walk down the stonewall road.

Mungyeongsaejae Open Set

Many historical dramas were filmed in Mungyeong’s open set, History’s Legacy, such as “Lovers of the Red Sky” and “The King’s Affection.” Because Mungyeongsaejae is a mountain pass in Korea’s middle, it provides an ideal setting for the shows.

The first thing you’ll notice is how enormous the Mungyeongsaejae Open Set is! A leisure walk with fantastic photographs is essential here. You may also take the tour bus if you don’t want to walk too far. You may enjoy the richness of Korean culture while riding the tour bus. Take pictures on a throne while dressed as a historical Korean monarch.

Munheon Confucian Academy (Munheon Seowon)

The Munheon Seowon is in South Chungcheong Province’s Seocheon. The institution was erected to commemorate the memory of Lee Gok and Lee Saek, two famous writers, and their work. However, during the Imjin War, it was destroyed and rebuilt in 1610.

When you visit Munheon Seowon, you must show great respect. The academy includes an educational center, a temple, and the mortuary tablets of five Confucian scholars. These tablets are essential to the academy, so observe all the appropriate procedures when you visit.

Munheon Seowon is where you can experience the Darye (tea ceremony). In addition, it’s an excellent opportunity to learn about the tea ceremony and etiquette by attending the Seowon special lecture, Chung hyo ye lecture, and etiquette lesson.

Dorongi Pond

Taebaek, Gangwon Province’s Dorongi Pond, is one of the filming locations of the K-drama where Jung Ji-woon and Lee Hwi first met in “The King’s Affection.”
